Dive into seafood suppers, crisp coastal walks and wildlife spotting in Dorset

When I was a child pretty much all of our family holidays were to England’s south coast, and Dorset was a firm favourite. I remember heading to Lyme Regis one year when I was about eight – but I didn’t remember how absolutely wonderful it was.

I returned this autumn with my own family, introducing my one-year-old daughter to the swans at Abbotsbury Swannery, supping local beers with my husband at the Tap Room of Lyme Regis Brewery and treating myself to a delicious lobster supper at Mark Hix’s Oyster & Fish House as the sun went down over Lyme Bay.
